EVENTS

Health and Safety Forums

Together MinEx and WorkSafe run regular forums on health and safety. During 2016 they are hosting another series of forums around New Zealand for the mining, quarry and alluvial sectors. These will take place in areas not visited in 2015. The aim is to give you the opportunity to ask questions first hand, engage with others in your area, find out about training courses in your region, and stay up to date on issues including:

  • The new Health and Safety at Work Act

  • The 2016 regulations

  • The Good Practice Guidelines for quarries and alluvial / opencast mines

  • Certificate of Competency training requirements

  • Continuing Professional Development.

These forums are an opportunity to learn how you, the industry nd the regulator can work together to ensure that every site achieves the improvements in health and safety performance that all employees are entitled to.

Dates and venues for 2016 click here.

To confirm your attendance email  office@minex.org.nz
